ball mill trunnion repair machine

REQUIREMENT:

When a mining site developed running problems with a ball mill, worn journal diameters were diagnosed as the cause. Mirage developed a system to re-machine the journals to allow new bearing liners to be fitted in-situ – removing the need to dismantle the trunnions.

LOCATIONS:

Australia and South Africa.

EQUIPMENT UTILISED:

Mirage SRB3000-H

For external machining the machine has a series of mounting plates that mount directly to the trunnion and have both radial and axial adjustment to set concentricity and plane.

The machine mounts to the plate and the drop arm features angular adjustment so that the bearing diameter can be re machined to original condition and within original manufactured tolerances.
