Founded in Derby in 1993, this family formed business brought together a team of highly experienced engineers with experience gained from the manufacture of the Silk 700 'classic' motorcycle, Silk range of portable machine tools and years of practical knowledge in the field of portable machine tool design and manufacture. The company is now located in a modern, purpose built facility - supporting the full range of design, development, manufacture, in-service support and business management activities.

Since the inception of the company, Mirage has achieved ISO 9001:2008 certification for its design and manufacturing systems and is able to provide CE certification. 

Mirage Machines joined Acteon group (a £400M turn-over, international Oil & Gas conglomerate) in 2006, from which Mirage has implimented key systems and processes, including Quality, HSE, Finance and Sales & Marketing.

We continually develop our systems to improve our products and service to clients globally taking in advances in technology and software as well as client and technician feedback. Our Quality Assurance (QA) and Health and Safety (HSE) systems are important parts of this program to ensure we provide a quality product to our clients to their requirements at all times and in the safest possible manner. We are audited twice yearly by BVQI and we are heavily committed to the health and safety of our workforce and to clients utilizing our equipment. Our HSE systems have been developed in line with the stringent requirements of the Oil & Gas and Offshore industries.
