Mirage have developed a portable lathe for machining worn diameters on ball mill trunnions up to 3m diameter and 900mm drop with the ability to set concentricity, plane and angle on the drop arm.

Mirage have developed a series of portable lathes for machining worn diameters on ball mill trunnions from 900mm up to 3m in diameter and bearing journals with drop arms to cater for up to 900mm journal length from the mounting face, with angular adjustment. The machines feature a series of mounting plates to aid concentricity and plane setup attachs the drive unit and modular drop arms to enable original dimensions, tolerances and surface finish to be maintained. A series of internal arms and mounting system is also developed for machining internal diameters if required.
